VIRTUAL & IN PERSON COOKING CLASSES& CAMPS
Dear Friends & our beloved bambino chefs,
It is with great sadness I have to share the news of closing our kitchen studio on Newark Avenue. This year Bambino Chef is turning 10 and this is not how I thought we will be celebrating the milestone. As heartbroken and sad as I am to be forced to move out by our unscrupulous greedy landlord who broke our agreement without any notice and another unethical business that wanted our space, I choose to cherish all the amazing moments we shared with your children and families.
BECAUSE OF YOU, I was able to do what I love the most, teaching little and not so little bambinos to cook and be adventurous with food. We had hundreds and hundreds of birthday celebrations, cooking classes, family parties and gatherings in our kitchen. I loved seeing your smiles, happy faces (not just kids but adults too), hearing laughter and watching you create your culinary masterpieces. Your children filled our hearts with joy. Each bambino chef has a special place in my heart. Watching each budding chef cook, play or just being around us I always knew I couldn’t have been in a better place. Your children are kind, compassionate and loving - we have a bright future ahead of us! Thank you for always participating in our fundraiser events for non profits - Bambino Chef couldn’t have done it all without your support. You should know you have helped to feed hundreds and hundreds of people, you showed those who are in less fortunate situations that people care about them. You all were always there during good times and tough ones (the pandemic was painful). Moms, dads, aunts, uncles, grandpas and grandmas - thank you for always treating us with respect, giving us hugs and insisting to feed us while we were working at your events (I won’t mention the cocktails I had to say no to). I loved meeting each one of you. The kitchen has always been a happy place for myself and I hope our Bambino Chef kitchen was one for you and your families as well. So many of our families refer to me as Bambino. While Rene is the name, I am still ok with you calling me that (I always got a kick out of that especially when you were trying to introduce me to other parents).
I am grateful for the community support we always received from our bloggers, local fellow businesses and just neighbors around our kitchen. I was always blessed with a good hearted, hard working and responsible team members - our Team Green. So here we are now. Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean I will miss you all, until we meet again (we will be looking for a new home).
For now please stay in touch with me on @chefingreen on Instagram.
Thank you again from the bottom of my heart.
With love and gratitude, Rene
