Yes, it is still that time of the year - everything apple, everything pumpkin. Making apple pie is so much fun, but honestly how many can we make? That said, we are loving all creative apple related recipes that are simple. delicious and of course kid friendly. We gave a try to these scrumptious apple s'mores and got thumbs up from our bambino chef testers. And of course your budding chefs can help you prepare this treat. We hope you enjoy them too!
2 apples of your choice (we went with fuji apples)
2 tbs melted butter
2 c milk chocolate chunks or chips
4 jumbo marshmallows (we used VEGAN ones)
1/3 c crushed graham crackers
Preheat oven to 400F.
Cut applies in half, core and hollow each apple.
Brush the inside of the apples with melted butter.
Add chocolate chips (the more, the merrier), fill to the top.
Top of with a piece of marshmallow.
Place apples on slightly greased or lined with parchment paper baking sheet.
Bake 10-12 minutes - keep an eye on the marshmallows, they are not fun when burned.
Sprinkle with crushed graham crackers once removed from the oven.
